SOULSIK – 6.66 (totuus.006.dl)

Finally we got our hands on SOULSIK’s project 6.66. This 35 minute long composition is approximately five years of work completed. In collaboration with musicians from USA and Sweden, Soulsik has created a grim, oppressive and dark piece of music with a long, evolving arch of drama.

The piece has been performed in public twice and our release 004.dl contains some parts of the composition, but here is the final mastered version with the intro track.

If you are into sample-laden dark ambient, give this one a go. It is a trip, not for the faint hearted.

Discovering Cicada 3301 (2014)

Discovering Cicada 3301 (2014)

The ultimate web-puzzle / decryption and hacking game Cicada 3301 has been online for a while now.

Cicada 3301 is a name given to an anonymous organization that on three occasions has posted a set of complex puzzles, purportedly to recruit capable cryptanalysts from the public.[1] The first Internet puzzle started on January 5, 2012 and ran for approximately one month. A second round began exactly one year later on January 5, 2013, and a third round is ongoing following confirmation of a fresh clue posted on Twitter on 5 January 2014.[2][3] The stated intent was to recruit “intelligent individuals” by presenting a series of puzzles which were to be solved, each in order, to find the next. The puzzles focused heavily on data securitycryptography, and steganography.

No-one knows for sure, what this is all about, but it is rather interesting.
